Frequently Asked Questions

Is your produce chemical free?

Produce is grown using synthetic fertilizer, that is USDA approved, and  natural fertilizer.  No pesticides are ever applied to our produce.

How long have you been in business?

Mator Farms LLC has been in business since 2010.  Prior to the farm's inception, there were many small truck-patch farmers that grew produce and sold it to Bird's Eye; when that company left, so did the small farmers.
We are proud to reintroduce quality produce from this region of the Arkansas Delta and we're confident that our produce is the best produce that you will find nationwide and worldwide.

What do you grow?

We grow turnip and mustard greens during the fall.  In the spring planting season, we grow a variety of crops that include but are not limited to purple-hull peas, okra, cantaloupe, and seasonal greens.

How do you sell your produce?

We sell all of our produce by the pound.

How will I know how many pounds of greens to purchase?

The recommended serving is 1-2 pounds per adult, therefore if you intend to feed 10 people, you should purchase at least 20 pounds of greens.

How do you compare your greens to what is in the grocery store?

One bundle of our greens is equivalent to roughly 4-5 bunches of grocery store "bunches".  You are also getting a premium product that will not include huge stems, they are picked fresh to order the same day, they are healthier, and have a bold flavor and smell which is due to the gumbo clay soil in the Delta region of Arkansas.
